"Denver Harbor Clinic is one of the most effective neighborhood clinics in our city.
Our hope for Houston is that this program will be replicated in other areas as it has proven to be a service model that really works."

Reducing health inequities
The Denver Harbor area and its 15 contiguous census tracts have
been declared a medically undeserved area by the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services.
The vast majority of Denver Harbor's 20,000 residents are
disadvantaged people of Hispanic origin who have little access to
health care services.
Expanding patient base
The clinic's growing patient base is a strong indicator that the
Clinic is reaching a larger segment of the undeserved community
each year.
Record number of patient visits
The clinic is expected to provide a record 12,000 patient visits in
2008.
Sustainable mix of insured and uninsured
Important to the clinic's sustainability is a healthy base of insured
patients.
